About Hydroism

A water-centred way of seeing engineering.

Hydroism is an independent platform for modern water engineering, useful research, responsible technology, and deeper environmental thought.

The idea

Hydro + ism

Not a doctrine. A point of view.

The name reflects a simple conviction: water deserves to be understood as a connected system—technical, ecological, climatic, and human. Hydroism exists to make that understanding more useful, more accessible, and more honest.

Founder

Amin Rostami, PhD

Water Resources & Hydraulic Engineer

Amin is a lead water engineer and researcher with around fifteen years of experience across Iran and Oman. His work spans flood hydrology, hydraulic modelling, river and wadi engineering, road drainage, wet utilities, remote sensing, quality management, and the practical use of AI in engineering workflows.

Hydroism brings together the two sides of that career: rigorous project delivery and a long-standing interest in research, environmental systems, and technology that helps engineers think more clearly.

01

Operating principles

What Hydroism will protect as it grows.

01

Engineering integrity

No generated certainty. Assumptions, limitations, and the role of professional judgment stay visible.

02

Environmental responsibility

Infrastructure is part of a living system. Design should account for what water sustains—not only what it threatens.

03

Useful intelligence

Research and AI matter when they improve a real decision, workflow, or public outcome.

04

Independent perspective

Hydroism is built for thoughtful analysis, not institutional promotion or content volume.

A clear boundary

Public knowledge. Protected project information.

Hydroism shares methods, lessons, and original insight while respecting client confidentiality, professional obligations, and engineering ethics. Project material appears only when it is appropriate and authorised for public use.
