Software licence principles

A purchased licence grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use RoaDRain on the permitted number of activated devices. Licence keys, activation tokens, and credits may not be shared, resold, bypassed, reverse engineered, or used to expose the Gateway as a general AI proxy. Credits are service units, not currency, and apply to the licence account for which they were issued.

Privacy notice

The Serverless Gateway processes the customer name and email supplied for licensing, HMAC-pseudonymised device and installation identifiers, licence activations, Credit balance and transaction records, feature-usage units, app version, timestamps, and operational error information required to provide and protect the service. These commercial records are held in Cloudflare D1; raw machine fingerprints and customer engineering project files are not stored there. The public Hydroism site does not require a ChatGPT account.

Engineer-selected AI review inputs are transmitted through the Hydroism Gateway to the configured AI service for that request. The OpenAI API key is held only as an encrypted runtime Secret and is not included in the customer installer. Customers should not submit unnecessary personal information or confidential material in AI prompts and should follow their own project and employer data policies.

Preliminary engineering disclaimer

RoaDRain is an early-stage road-drainage screening and decision-support tool. Its outputs are not a substitute for verified survey, ground investigation, authoritative rainfall and flow data, detailed hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, structural design, site inspection, statutory review, or approval by a qualified engineer. The responsible engineer must verify all inputs, assumptions, crossing locations, discharges, dimensions, risks, and final deliverables before professional or construction use.

Availability, credits, and refunds

The managed Serverless Gateway is required for Trial checks, registered licence validation, Credit control, and AI review. Interrupted connectivity or an upstream service incident can temporarily prevent these functions. Credits reserved for a failed AI Gateway request are designed to be returned automatically. Final purchase, cancellation, and refund terms—including prices, taxes, supported payment methods, and any refund window—will be published before sales open.

Security and responsible access

Customers must protect their licence key and activated computer. Owner credentials, API keys, and administrative endpoints are restricted systems. Attempts to circumvent device limits, manipulate credit accounting, automate abusive requests, probe private administration, or interfere with service security may result in suspension.
